J.W. Sims & Associates Engineering Co., Inc. is an independent professional engineering private practice established in 1987. Effective May 5, 2016, J.W. Sims & Associates Engineering Co., Inc. and Durkin & Villalta Partners Engineering, Inc. merged operations and began doing business as Sims-Durkin Associates Engineering Company, with an emphasis on Electrical-Mechanical-Plumbing engineering and supporting services for a wide array of buildings and facilities. The company merger provided additional project engineering capacity, regional expansion, and increased service offerings.
Sims-Durkin Associates Engineering Company utilizes expertise gained from over 30 years in business to provide high quality service with the upmost integrity and care. Services include preparation of design documents for bidding and construction, engineering studies, cost estimates, and construction administration services.
Our professional engineers have experience designing for wide variety of markets, both public and private. Clients include industrial, commercial, institutional, municipal, multi-tenant residential, and governmental organizations, as well as construction contractors, architects, and other engineering firms. For multi-disciplinary and large projects, the company may joint venture or subcontract with other firms. The company regularly subcontracts to several associate firms, assembling the project teams best suited for each job to supplement production capability.
General liability, professional liability, and worker injury compensation insurance are maintained. The company is organized as an S Corporation in the State of Indiana and headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Professional engineers are licensed in over fifteen states.
